A Difficult Journey, Each Piece Shaped with Mastery
Collected from the Majestic Sultan Marshes
Gathered with Difficulty in the Cold Winter Months
Reed is not just a plant; it is the name of a labor that is sometimes achieved by sailing in frozen reeds, in freezing cold weather, by boat, and sometimes by walking on ice...
In the winter-defying nature of Sultan Marshes, each reed harvested with sweat and determination; comes to life through the hands of masters fighting the cold.
Each bunch is a memory of a journey that requires courage.
Meticulous Cleaning After a Difficult Journey
The reeds collected from the ice by boats are carefully brought one by one. Then, each bundle is carefully cleaned by our masters; it is free of foreign substances, dirt and excess moisture.
This meticulous preparation process increases the quality and durability of the reed, and forms the basis of long-lasting and aesthetic products.
The patience and care shown at every stage reveals the difference of Tunalar Reed.
Difficult and Requires Patience
It is a job that requires patience and dedication with its laborious nature and seasonal difficulties. Labor and mastery come together at every step; because it is carried out with great care in harmony with nature.
It Takes Shape in Master Hands After Difficult Production Conditions
The production process, which begins in harsh natural conditions, is completed with mastery and the reed turns into wicker, berdi, umbrella, roof covering, basket and many other decorative or functional products.
Each product is a part of a special work in which the materials provided by nature are shaped by human labor.
